چکیده

Abstract Based on the combined use of polymerisable polyacrylamide, collagen and an aqueous solution Flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), we have developed a new technique for fabrication composite phantoms mimicking fluorescence properties human skin. A comparative analysis absorption scattering coefficients, refractive indices, as well spectra with different concentrations FAD measured CCD spectrometer hyperspectral camera is presented. To obtain values coefficients close to those skin, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles are added polyacrylamide polymer structure. Variations both in shape spectrum intensity signal provided by changes volume fraction collagen. It shown that model good agreement results direct skin measurements vivo .

Designing microarray phantoms for hyperspectral imaging validation

The design and fabrication of custom-tailored microarrays for use as phantoms in the characterization of hyperspectral imaging systems is described. Corresponding analysis methods for biologically relevant samples are also discussed. An image-based phantom design was used to program a microarrayer robot to print prescribed mixtures of dyes onto microscope slides. The resulting arrays were image...

Hyperspectral Fluorescence Imaging for Mouse Skin Tumor Detection

The hyperspectral image data used in this study are fluorescence images of mouse skin consisting of 21 spectral bands in the visible spectrum of the wavelengths ranging from 440 nm to 640 nm. Fluorescence signal is measured with the use of laser excitation at 337 nm. An acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) is used to capture images at 10 nm intervals. All spectral band images are spatially regis...

Developing digital tissue phantoms for hyperspectral imaging of ischemic wounds

Hyperspectral imaging has the potential to achieve high spatial resolution and high functional sensitivity for non-invasive assessment of tissue oxygenation. However, clinical acceptance of hyperspectral imaging in ischemic wound assessment is hampered by its poor reproducibility, low accuracy, and misinterpreted biology. These limitations are partially caused by the lack of a traceable calibra...

Hyperspectral fluorescence lifetime imaging for optical biopsy.

A hyperspectral fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) instrument is developed to study endogenous fluorophores in biological tissue as an optical biopsy tool. This instrument is able to spectrally, temporally, and spatially resolve fluorescence signal, thus providing multidimensional information to assist clinical tissue diagnosis. An acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) is used to realize rapid ...

Fluorescence-based transient state monitoring for biomolecular spectroscopy and imaging.

To increase read-out speed, sensitivity or specificity, an often applied strategy in fluorescence-based biomolecular spectroscopy and imaging is to simultaneously record two or more of the fluorescence parameters: intensity, lifetime, polarization or wavelength. This review highlights how additional, to-date largely unexploited, information can be extracted by monitoring long-lived, photo-induc...
